Retail Internship Jobs description

A retail intern is responsible for supporting the retail sales channel team in their efforts to improve and enhance the department’s operational processes. A retail intern learns about inventory and financial controls and focus on department’s accountability and compliance for customer transactions. A retail intern has to work in retail stores, to complement his operations experience, by providing exceptional customer service to individuals visiting the store. A retail intern helps the store to achieve its financial and customer service goals. A retail intern’s responsibility includes providing exceptional customer service to individuals visiting the store, including greeting customers and assessing their needs. A retail intern handles customer facing transactions, including accepting bill payments, credit and debits, account maintenance including equipment upgrades, troubleshooting handsets and maintaining repaired phones. A retail intern’s additional responsibilities will include working with the marketing department to price out and develop gift bags.

A retail intern must be a current student of bachelor’s in marketing or business at the time of internship. Prior sales experience is a plus. A retail intern should have strong analytical problem solving skills as well as strong project management and multi-tasking skills. A retail intern should be an excellent communicator who is well organized and detail-oriented. Proficient in MS word and excel is required.
