JOB SUMMARY:
This analytics internship provides exposure to the day-to-day operations of a finance department in a professional environment. The Analytics Intern will learn to use business analytics through data querying, regression analysis and other finance projects. This candidate will also obtain hands on experience in learning advanced methods to assist in determining pricing while working closely with the finance staff. Other responsibilities include providing tactical database analytics along with support for tasks and reporting as assigned. This position reports to the Controller.
We accept candidates from all major areas of study for internships; however, we attempt to match appropriate majors with the department offering the internship. Candidates must be current college students and must receive academic credit for the internship. Candidates must have housing available in the Kansas City area and must be willing to work long and flexible hours including work weeks, Chiefs home football games, and Chiefs events.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Select, integrate and clean data.
• Creation of dashboards, KPI’s and various reporting.
• Data querying.
• Identification and use of business analytics.
• Linear and non-linear regression analysis.
• Knowledge of the following in-house tools:
• Excel 2013 PowerPivot
• SQL Server 2012 – Analysis Services Data Mining
• Utlize advanced modeling methods to assist in determining pricing and other company wide decision making.
• Assist with projects related to prospecting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Light office duties and activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher with a concentration in Analytics, Statistics or related discipline. Must have at least two years of coursework completed in Finance, Statistics or related discipline.
2. Working knowledge of Excel 2013 PowerPivot and SQL Server 2012 – Analysis Services Data Mining.
3. Must have high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information required.
5. Requires continual attention to detail and a high level of organization.
6. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects by establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
QUICK FACTS / REQUIREMENTS:
Any relocation fees are the responsibility of the intern.

This internship is an unpaid position.
HOURS REQUIRED:
40 hours per week including all events and home games.
