THE ROLE: Data Science Co-Op

**This Co-Op is for Northeastern Students only for their January 2022 - June 2022 cycle**

Rue Gilt Groupe (RGG) is seeking an intern for the Data Science team! What you’ll do:

Partner with business leaders and stakeholders across the organization on challenging data science and ML projects like advanced statistical prediction models, forecasting, NLP, computer vision, recommender systems, reinforcement learning and latest AI/ML to drive revenue and enhance personalized shopping experiences of our

Design and develop distributed solutions and systems leveraging state-of-the-art data technologies (for e.g. Spark, Tensorflow, Snowflake, AWS, Airflow and more) that operates in the cloud to power data science services

Gain end-to-end exposure and experience on latest data science and ML projects from exploratory analysis to building and deploying models in production

Learn how to experiment and monitor new solutions in production and drive measurable value to the business

About You:

You are pursuing an advanced degree in Computer Science/ Data Science/ Engineering / Statistics / Mathematics

You have exposure to Python and SQL

You have academic experience with machine learning, software development, statistics and large-scale data analytics

You embody the spirit of collaboration with a demonstrated ability to build and foster strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships and work well in a close-knit team, ego-less coding environment

The Data Science team at RGG prides itself on solving complex business problems as well as providing business value. We interact with myriad stakeholders in the company and problem solve on many fronts. Areas that this team is responsible for but not limited to include on-site personalization of member experiences, personalization of offline member experiences (for e.g. Email, SMS, App Push) and working with our partners on various business optimization problems. This is a highly visible role within the company and provides ample opportunities to grow the team and yourself.
