An individual who utilizes the skills gained as a student in a Nursing Associate, Diploma or Baccalaureate Program, to assist the RN in providing patient care and treatment under the direction of an RN in accordance with the Division of Nursing Standards, assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
Assists the patient care team to provide various patient care activities and maintaining customer service focus essential for smooth operation.
Under the direction of the RN, delivers care to a patient population neonate to geriatric as defined in the unit specific structural standards of the assigned area.
INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY!
A student nurse who has completed second semester, first year, of the clinical component of the nursing program.
Certification in BCLS required.
Must be certified by Maryland Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.
Written recommendation for participation in the SNE program from two current nursing school faculty members.
Successful completion of clinical orientation.
Completion of orientation may require up to ten (10) weeks with mentor.
