As publicly announced, NRG is in the process of selling its Renewables division, among other entities, to Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”), a leading independent infrastructure investor based in the United States.
What you can expect:
The intern program provides a rich developmental experience in renewables business development. The intern is presented with a real business challenge and is tasked to think critically and engage with cross functional partners to provide a meaningful and comprehensive recommendation. Projects will require engagement of marketing channel leads and customers. Interns have great autonomy as well as full support, guidance, and feedback from their managers and the broader Sales organization throughout the internship.
In addition to core project work, the internship program aims to provide interns with opportunities to learn the business, build functional knowledge, gain exposure to the Renewables organization, and build their network.
Work with the origination team to develop sales and marketing collateral for specific product offerings such as community solar subscriptions, virtual net metering agreements, or wholesale renewable energy contracts
Work as a liaison between the IT team and Origination team to ensure SalesForce.com is most effectively tracking prospective and current customer information, create and run reports and add plug-ins
Work on building and curating a well-organized, easily-searchable central repository of all asset and corporate materials that enables the development of RFP responses and customer presentations
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and maintain a catalog of happy customer references
What we’re looking for:
Currently pursuing a degree in: Business, Marketing, Sales Concentrations (other related majors will be considered)
Proven leadership and teamwork skills as demonstrated through extracurricular involvement
Relevant customer service or sales experience (on-or-off campus; either through part time jobs, academic clubs, or volunteer experiences)
Strong analytical skillset with ability to draw insights from data to find actionable solutions to complex problems
Ability to generate innovative strategies and creative solutions
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
Exemplary communication and presentation skills
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
Demonstrated initiative and strong drive for results
