Rotational Production Supervisor Co-OpOVERVIEW Supervises production work teams and production process:Oversees the planning, scheduling, setup, and running of routine or special production streams.Manages the dispersal and distribution of materials for production. Maintains labor and material requirements to meet the daily production schedule.Oversees the work of production and production support staff; communicates expectations and provides direction and training. Monitors work performance and provides feedback.Coordinates maintenance of production equipment. Oversees technical process control and quality process control.\r
PROGRAM OUTLINE8 week training program designed around job shadowing, classroom learning, and hands-on operating.Once training is complete, rotate between departments each weekendLearn and experience multiple operations within our business.Exposure to a diverse range of roles and responsibilities.Opportunity to mentor/network with an augmented group of professionals.\r
RESPONSIBILITIESPuts safety first by promoting and modeling AAM's safety culture with direct reports, supervisors, and other AAM associates.Ensures process standards are followed and customer requirements are met.Communicates production goals, decisions, problems, and tasks to direct reports and others in an appropriate and timely manner.Communicates and resolves deviations.Continuously monitors key indicators of the production plan to ensure production goals are accomplished.Acquires/provides resources (materials, tools, safety equipment, training, etc.) for direct reports and others to ensure goal completion.Coordinates with production supervisors from various shifts and departments.Forecasts challenges with machines, people, and production using detailed knowledge of AAM's products and processes; determines root cause of problems; and implements action plans in order to address challenges.Evaluates how changes in a process might affect or improve the quality of finished products or impact the production rate.Makes informed decisions under pressure or under ambiguous circumstances.Executes personnel administration duties – schedules vacation, records absences, and processes time-sheets, etc.Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork, trust, and open communication.Sets developmental goals for self and others.Leads/motivates others through use of rewards and recognition.Other duties as assigned\r
