Job Description
The Benefits Administration Intern provides crucial administrative assistance for the Benefit services team and primary support for the annual open enrollment. This role is a temporary, full time opening for a 6-8 month period. Upon successful completion of the internship, the student may be offered a permanent, full time opportunity.
Top Priorities:
Prepares forms for client rollovers for Open Enrollment
Manages the client selection form process of logging and routing
Assists with the generation and packing of employee materials
Reviews and follow up with employees on incomplete forms
Support transactional processing in payroll systems
Assist benefits team with regular audits
Other Priorities:
Makes web employee packet manual edits
Assists with Voluntary Benefits OE with such tasks as reviewing forms and data, routing, entries, follow up calls and assembling employee packets
Assists with the HC-5 waiver campaign (Ex. entries and follow up with employees/clients)
Other administrative duties
Qualifications
Has a high level of attention to detail
Has strong organizational skills
Computer application experience - proficiency with MS Word (knowledge of merge function is a plus) & Excel; familiar with Adobe Acrobat (PDFs)
Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external parties verbally and via email
Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities to meet deadlines
Able to follow instructions and see tasks through completion
Functions effectively in a fast paced team environment
Exhibits good judgment, integrity, responsibility and punctuality
Being flexible to change
Be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
