Pharmacy Intern II - On-****
The pharmacy intern will support the department in the provision of pharmaceutical care while acquiring the required skills and experience needed to become a licensed pharmacist.
Obtains new prescription and prescription refill information from the patient, the health care provider, or pharmacy information system.
Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer.
Dispenses, compounds, and distributes pharmaceutical products.
Solicits information on medical history from the patient, health care provider, or computer system.
Provides drug information and advice to the patient or health care professional.
Counsels patients on appropriate prescription and over the counter drug use and storage.
Provides excellent customer service.
Operates a cash register.
Assures compliance to all regulatory rules and regulations and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s policies and procedures to include but not limited to: Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), State Boards of Pharmacy, HIPAA, Principles of Responsibility.
Performs special projects as assigned.
Pharmacy student status enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy and attending classes in the second year of professional study required.
License, Certification, Registration
Licensed or registered as a pharmacy intern in the jurisdiction where employed as required by the applicable jurisdiction's regulations.
Stand for long periods of time, frequent stooping, bending and reaching.
