Tasks: ABB is seeking a Test Intern to join our world-class liquid-filled transformers manufacturing plant in South Boston, VA. Interns may be assigned to Operations, Design Engineering, Operational Excellence, Quality, Marketing, Project Management, Health Safety & Environmental and Finance\/Accounting. Typical duties\/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: \u2022 Collect test data and perform analysis \u2022 Prepare final test report \u2022 Support test technicians as needed during testing and or trouble shooting \u2022 Perform duties in a manner fully compliant with prevailing safety and qualify procedures and policies. \u2022 Perform other related duties as assigned by management or lead person. \u2022 Student will be required to present project presentation at the end of the assignment. Requirements: Basic qualifications: \u2022 Currently enrolled as a full time rising junior or senior in an electrical engineering program at an accredited U.S. based University \u2022 3.0 GPA Preferred qualifications: \u2022 Excellent computer and communication skills required \u2022 Perform duties in a manner fully compliant with prevailing safety and quality procedures and policies. \u2022 Available to work overtime as required (OT applicable after 40 work hours in work week). \u2022 Perform other related duties as assigned by management. \u2022 Surrounding area of South Boston, VA where the plant is located. No stipend is paid for housing \u2022 Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
