u003cpu003eThe New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Baker Botts L.L.P. have an opening for a temporary Recruiting Intern from May 2020 - August 2020 (exact dates are flexible; however, a 10-week commitment is required.). The Recruiting Intern, under the supervision of the New York and Washington, D.C. Recruiting Managers, will support the summer associate and fall recruiting programs, lawyer on-boarding and off-boarding, and special projects. The intern will work closely with the local Hiring Partner, Recruiting Manager, Recruiting Coordinator, and Employment Committee.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eEssential Duties and Responsibilities:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eManage administrative tasks for the Recruiting Manager including:u003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eMaintaining recruiting database, applicant tracking, processing all expense requests, u003cbr /u003egenerating all correspondence, statistical reporting and other duties as assigned.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssisting with the planning and implementation of all aspects of the Summer Associate Program including on-boarding/off-boarding, work assignments and evaluations, advisor programs, budget tracking, and event planning and attendance.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssisting with the planning and implementation of all aspects of the fall and spring law school on-campus interviews.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssisting with coordinating callback interviews and the offer process.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssisting with entry level associate on-boarding/off-boarding/status changes.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssisting with lateral hiring on an as needed basis.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssist with any other tasks and special projects assigned.u003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eQualifications:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eHigh school diploma is required, some college courses preferred.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eA minimum of six months experience in a legal or professional services office environment is required.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point).u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eClient Service Orientation: must have exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAbility to work evenings and weekends as needed.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong communication skills.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAbility to handle confidential information.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eThis position requires substantial contact with partners, associates and law school students.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong interpersonal skills, patience, and ability to maintain effective relationships with co-workers and employees.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong work ethic.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProfessional appearance.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eSelf-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong organizational skills.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStrong problem-solving skills and attention to details; andu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAbility to act in a professional manner with a strong customer service focus.u003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eWorking Conditions and Environmentu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eThis is a 37.5-hour per week non-exempt position and due to the nature of the position some evening and weekend work may be required.
