Assignment: January-August 2019

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor)
Create, organize, and update manufacturing documentation for boats built by New York Mills Operations; gather as-built information to ensure accuracy
Coordinate efforts as necessary between Product Development and Engineering, Purchasing, Supervisors, and Line Leads
Work with Product Development and Engineering personnel to update, and manage Bill of Materials
Be a contributor on problem solving, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Respond to requests from other departments as necessary and appropriate
Carry out cross-functional assignments and projects when needed
Maintain a working knowledge of the systems utilized to carry out the tasks for this position including OBMS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications
Record and analyze data
Other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelors in Engineering Field preferred 3rd or 4th year
3D CAD experience preferred: AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD beneficial
Previous experience in engineering or manufacturing would be beneficial
Working knowledge of appropriate engineering principles.
Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently, as well as part of a team
Strong organizational skills, good communication skills and flexible interpersonal skills are required
Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week periodically to complete the job
Must have solid analytical skills and be a good problem solver
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit, and use arms, hands and fingers to key and maneuver a mouse on a PC system. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the office work environment is low to moderate.
The employee will frequently be exposed to a heavy manufacturing work environment that includes high noise level and exposure to chemical vapors, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, vibration and electricity. Eye and ear protection, as well as steel toed shoes, are required at all times in the manufacturing environment. Hard hats may be required in certain areas of the work environment. Particle masks, gloves, wrist braces, aprons, back support, ear protection, etc., are available for use. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
