In Summer of 2018 the Mathematics and Algorithms Group is looking for outstanding candidates to work on projects in A) machine learning and computational math covering such topics as A1) adversarial deep learning and face recognition via metric embeddings, A2) recurrent neural networks, A3) feature selection via mutual information matrices, and 4) affinity measures for spatio-temporal data; B) networking and optimization in B1) cloud-based intelligent transportation, B2) end to end virtual network slicing, B3) secure networking with blockchains; and C) communication sciences in C1) quantum error correction, C2) massive MIMO of things and C3) application-specific models for learning.

Must be pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Computational Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Physics, Statistics, Systems Engineering and Telecommunications from an accredited college/university in the US.
