Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.RiverBend Materials is seeking a Summer Intern to work with our Construction Management and Estimating team.  This individual will prepare and assist in preparation of quantity take-offs, support of estimating staff, managing subcontractor RFQ’s and quotes, assist in utilization of field engineering with GPS equipment, tracking and adjusting progress quantities through all phases of the project from pre-construction through completion. Regular visits to the field will be required to verify completed and remaining quantities and to monitor project progress.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Assist estimators and project managers with project take offs and project tracking.Obtain existing conditions in field with use of GPS equipmentAssist and prepare quantity take-offs using AgtekAssist and prepare estimates using Bid2WinPrepare and update project schedules using Microsoft ProjectPrevious estimating experience and a strong math background is preferredAbility to read and extrapolate information from plans and geotechnical reportsHours of operation will vary according to current projects.  Minimum of 50 hours/week Other duties as assigned per supervisorQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
