Healthcare Internship Jobs description
A healthcare internship may be available with a hospital, clinic, or government health department. A healthcare internship is undertaken by medical students to get exposure to patient care activities. A student on a healthcare internship may be expected to perform various duties including diagnosing patients with routine illnesses, guiding patients to the physician's room when found appropriate, performing first aid activities, ensuring that medicinal stocks are available in appropriate amounts, advising patients on use of drugs, meeting pharmacists and other vendors, coordinating with various department members, maintaining professional demeanor, and performing other tasks assigned by the physician. A healthcare intern typically reports to a physician.A healthcare internship is generally offered to medical or nursing students. Excellent academic credentials are required. Strong desire to provide excellent patient care is essential for a healthcare internship role.
