The Meadows Racetrack & Casino near Pittsburgh is partnering with Penn State University on what both say is the first-ever college internship program in Pennsylvania for students interested in the casino industry.
Students will work at least 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks as part of the internship. Interns won’t be paid, but will receive three college credits for their work and have an opportunity to work as a part-time paid employee at the casino.
The internships begin next summer through Penn State’s School of Hospitality Management.
Interns must be at least 21 and licensed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
