Camuto Group has an excellent opportunity for a Production Intern. This is a paid internship in our NYC office working in a hybrid environment with our production team. We are looking for a student who can contribute approximately 35 hours a week. Camuto Group offers bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in their department, Interns will attend various cross-functional presentations as well as learning sessions with Senior Leadership.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Assist with style/color/material creation in our ERP system at the start of a product season. *Work with Sales Account Executives on reviewing customer orders and preparing them for order entry. *Enter orders in our ERP system with style/color/material/cost/unit accuracy. *Run daily on-order reports.  Research open orders for issue resolution. Answer product/order inquiries. *Assists managing and maintaining EDI

*Work with EDI/IT teams to resolve any transmission issue.

*Adhere to calendar deadlines set by Production team *Work with China and Brazil overseas offices on product scheduling and help resolve any issues. *Assist with product costing: understanding factory 1st cost, duties, tariffs, freight, and margin builds. *Communicate product ETA's to Sales/Customer and any options to expedite delivery. *Daily communication with our distribution center on order picking and shipping. *Work with management and account executives on pricing approvals. *Partner with credit department for new account approvals and to arrange payment with customers. *Setup, maintain, update and manage licensing linesheets and submit to licensing teams for approval *Receive, analyze and address any customer complaints and work to resolve *Work with production, logistics and management on meeting monthly forecast shipping goals *Miscellaneous/Administrative
QUALIFICATIONS:

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must have the ability to interact with sales, production, logistics and credit teams while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient and be customer service driven. Professionalism and attention to detail required.
*Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint *Working knowledge of ABS (Apparel Business System) a plus
*Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accessories/Footwear Product Development or Production preferred

*TIMING: Full-time, beginning June 1st - Jul 22nd (approx. 8 weeks in duration) *WHO SHOULD APPLY:College juniors, seniors and recent graduates *DEADLINE:Your application must be received by January 10th *COMPENSATION: All interns are full-time, paid positions *All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in New York City *Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews *All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program
