Emergo by UL is an internationally-certified medical device consulting firm that serves medical device companies, particularly those that export their products abroad. Our US headquarters is based in Austin, Texas, with international offices around the world.
 
Job Description:
 
We are currently seeking an Intern at our Austin office to support our Regulatory Research and Global Consulting teams. Individuals will work closely and regularly interact with individuals from our Consulting, Project Management and Research teams. This internship is largely comprised of various administrative support activities and does not require previous regulatory affairs experience. Interns are offered the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and grow their professional skillset with an international regulatory consulting firm.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support with the retrieval of published literature as directed by a Regulatory Consultant or Project Manager
Coordination of tasks with local and international colleagues/teams
Accurate and complete submission of project related timecards and expense reports as applicable
Maintenance and organization of internal document libraries and databases
Proofreading, formatting and document editing activities
Information collection and entry into internal tracking tools, databases, and spreadsheets
Coordination of team meetings and assistance with agenda creation as needed
Regular status updates on project progress
Data entry, accurate transition of information between systems
Support new hire onboarding, transition and offboarding of consultants globally; coordination with other company departments as needed
Aid consulting team in the organization of training, tracking and certification materials
Maintain inventory of consultant profile information, ensuring skills and professional credentials are accurately and thoroughly documents in our electronic systems

Strong attention to detail
Diligence in ensuring all steps of a process are followed and completed as required
Proactive approach to assignments
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to successfully manage/balance long (ongoing) and short-term projects in parallel
Receptive to feedback and willing to engage colleagues to support learning
Successfully prioritize time sensitive projects to meet deadlines
High quality outputs even when completing routine or repetitive tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications is highly preferred
Capable of learning new software programs quickly
Local candidates preferred
Must be available 15 - 20 hours per week within regular business hours (M \u2013 F, 8a \u2013 5p), minimum three days/week
Availability to work January 2022 through the end of the Spring semester (at minimum).
