Project Management Internship Jobs description

A project management intern supports the project manager in all aspects of daily management of project including field progress reports, progress photos, directive preparation, document control, program book management and team meeting minutes. A project management intern assists the project management team where necessary with tracking and scheduling needs. A project management intern stays in regular close communication with team members on assignment progress, highlighting task concerns immediately. A project management intern balances a variety of assignments at the same time while still completing prioritized requests when requested. A Project management intern participates in some or all aspects of projects: idea creation, cost benefit, acquiring approval, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and summarizing progress. A project management intern works as a workflow consultant and conduct a time study to improve process efficiencies and after study is complete write a report and make suggestions on how to increase productivity.

A project management intern requires a bachelor’s degree with concentration in business, project management or finance. A project management intern should have adaptive skills in order to remain productive when confronted with quick changes in priorities. A project management intern should have an ability to be assigned a task and work with sometimes a low level of supervision. A project management intern should be driven, motivated and proactive with a strong initiative and desire to learn. Excellent computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot if necessary, as well as excellent communication skills both verbal and written required.
