Insurance Internship Jobs description
An insurance internship is aimed at educating students on the various aspects of insurance business. An insurance internship typically offers the students an opportunity to perform the following tasks: assisting actuarial managers, making actuarial reports and calculations, visiting and meeting customers, educating the customers on various insurance policies of the firm, engaging in personal selling of insurance policies, handling the questions raised by customers, keeping updated with advancements in the area, applying theoretical knowledge gained through studies, calculating mortality rates and other variables, handling incoming queries, attending meetings and training sessions and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. An insurance intern typically reports to an insurance manager.An insurance internship is generally offered to students pursuing bachelor's degree in a financial area or actuarial science. Excellent academic credentials are required. Prior exposure to insurance related area is desirable.
