Research and Development Intern

Profile

This position is responsible for assisting in shelf life studies, validating product shelf life, conducting research, product development, and writing new product specifications. Other responsibilities include: developing samples/prototypes of new products; modifying existing products; statistical analysis of data, quantitative and qualitative research analyses; developing specifications for product production labeling; compiling cost analysis information. Other duties include: working with Sales, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments; coordinating with suppliers of ingredients; ensuring smooth start-up for new product production processes; other special projects as needed.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Incoming junior senior or MBA at least one year of school remaining . Business or Animal Science majors preferred.Experience: Previous work experience in any field.Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel familiarity with Access Word and PowerPoint.Supervisory: NoneSpecial Skills: Ability to multitask; motivated self-starter.
