Program Goal

Summer Partners for Language and Learning

(SPELL) provides Multilingual Learners theme-based language development activities in the morning and enrichment experiences provided by community partners in the afternoon. SPELL Elementary is located at A. F. Argenziano School.

SPELL Internship Opportunities are offered to College and Graduate Students interested in supporting Multilingual Learners in academic and enrichment activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with children and/or youth in group settings

Ability to provide academic and enrichment support in tutoring groups or one on one

Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students; maintain and respond to social and emotional needs of students with guidance from educators and site administrator(s)

Knowledge and appreciation of cultural difference; commitment to removing barriers to equity, access, and inclusion

Bilingual/multilingual and ability to communicate with diverse students and families

Director of Summer Program and Director of Early Education & Care
