Accounting Internship Jobs description

An accounting internship may be available with accounts department of a bank, accounting agency, insurance agency, manufacturing company or a finance agency. An accounting internship is designed to educate students on practical aspects of accounting. An accounting internship role offers hands on experience in performing various tasks like studying balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, trial balance, and other accounting activities. An accounting internship also offers some administrative work like data entry, receiving phone calls, files management, assisting in preparation of various documents, and specific tasks assigned by accounting manager.
An accounting internship may be offered to a student pursuing a BS in accounting. Excellent academic credentials are required. Strong knowledge of GAAP is essential. Strong mathematical ability is a must. Accounting internships may be paid or unpaid. Accounting internships may be part-time or full-time opportunities.
